One of the ironies of the return to office work, whether it be full time or hybrid, is that employees often end up glued to screens on video calls all day — with little to none of the interaction that management was hoping for.
For some, it's even been described as the same as working from home, but with a commute.
In-person philanthropy activities can be a great way make IRL interactions count. These provide a fun, unique context for coworkers to bond, whether in conjunction with a special event or as a regularly scheduled part of office culture.
The process for creating in-person programs/events with Good Team can be broken down into two steps.
Step 1: Research & General Program Design
First we need to learn the preferences and abilities of your team. These are then cross referenced with the charitable options available in your area.
That said, there aren’t usually great opportunities just waiting to be filled (those are all taken). So what this really looks like is reaching out to lots of organizations, learning about their operation, then working with them to come up with program ideas that both help their cause and provide an enriching activity for your employees.
Step 2: Detailed Planning & Implementation
Once your company decides which program(s) to pursue, the detailed planning and implementation begins. This process is characterized by quick iterations and attention to detail, with the goal being a program or periodic event that runs with minimal effort and can be repeated indefinitely.
Step 1 is typically done virtually. Step 2 can be done virtually or in person. But we are flexible and collaborative in our approach, and can tailor a plan to meet your specific company needs.
